Juan Alvear was born in New York City and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NYC. He graduated from Cooper Union in 2018. Alvear straddles the adjacent and often separate realms of fine art, design and beauty industry by crafting his instantly recognizable nail art. He has recently been featured in the Vogue World 100, Paper Magazine 100, Milk 10, and numerous other publications.
