///
After its party at the Club 56 on monday October the 19th, and prior to the opening of the exhibition « Yes To All » in its venue at 24 rue Moret on thursday October the 22nd**, Treize turns its stand at Paris Internationale into a record shop with items selected in collaboration with the labels and artists who engaged in the venue’s program. Like a deficient retrospective of its activities, now as much dedicated to concerts as to exhibitions, STRAIGHT METAL WIRE gathers around fifty releases that its members, public or visitor would be happy to buy.
The series of plastic bags used to transport the records was designed by temporary associate of Treize Jonathan Binet. The introduction of this product in our store short circuits our attempt to finally make a fortune: the value of Jonathan’s bag will in the end be relative to the commercial fragility of our entreprise. This disturbance, at a minimal scale, of two systems of cultural economy (the record industry and the art market), reminds us that our participation in a fair can only happen by an endangerment of the enigmatic and contradictory dynamics which are the foundation of Treize’s identity.
